Sonographer – Modality Lead
$85 – $95 per hour | Full-Time (Part-Time Considered – Min. 3 Days)
Central Perth | Multi-Site Leadership Role
An outstanding opportunity is available for an experienced Sonographer – Modality Lead to step into a key leadership position within a respected imaging provider in Western Australia.
This role operates across three sites, with your primary base located in central Perth. As Modality Lead, you will play a pivotal role in clinical leadership, team development, and service excellence, while remaining hands-on in ultrasound.
You will also become part of the Western Australia leadership team, contributing to broader strategic and operational decisions across the region.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Area Manager, you will lead the ultrasound modality across your designated sites, ensuring high standards of clinical quality, team performance, and patient care.
This is a full-time position; however, we are open to part-time applicants (minimum 3 days per week) for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and manage the sonography team across three sites
- Conduct training, supervision, and ongoing upskilling of staff
- Perform a broad range of high-quality ultrasound examinations
- Collaborate closely with Radiologists to ensure clinical excellence
- Oversee equipment performance and coordinate upgrades and technology improvements
- Support workflow optimisation and service delivery outcomes
- Contribute to leadership discussions as part of the WA leadership team
About You
- ASAR accredited
- Postgraduate qualification in Medical Ultrasound (or equivalent)
- Strong clinical experience across multiple ultrasound modalities
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capability
- Experience in training, mentoring, or supervising staff
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Passion for continuous improvement and high-quality patient care
