Unite Healthcare is partnering with a leading hospital in Darwin, NT to source 3 x experienced PACU/OT Registered Nurses for an exciting contract opportunity in the Top End.

About the role:

• Location: Darwin, NT
• Unit: PACU/OT (Post Anaesthesia Care Unit / Operating Theatre)
• Positions available: 3 x FTE
• Pay rate: Up to $82/hour
• Start date: ASAP
• Contract length: 6 to 12 weeks, with strong potential for extension

What you'll be doing:

• Providing immediate post-operative care, including airway management, pain management, and haemodynamic monitoring
• Closely monitoring patients as they recover from anaesthesia, ensuring early identification and escalation of any complications
• Working collaboratively within a busy perioperative team alongside anaesthetists, surgeons, and theatre staff
• Maintaining high standards of patient safety, comfort, and documentation throughout the recovery process

What you'll need:

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Demonstrated recent experience in PACU/recovery, with strong post-anaesthesia care skills
• Sound clinical assessment, prioritisation, and escalation skills
• A proactive, team-oriented approach and the flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced theatre environment
• Current National Police Check and immunisation records (or willingness to obtain)
